If you’ve been waiting for your chance to compete as the Ultimate MVP, now is the time! The My MVP contest is back again for the 4th season and we’re looking for the “Most Valuable Person”! Fans that have made a positive impact on their fan community and culture.

How the Contest Works

There are two rounds of public voting. In round 1, each approved entrant will compete to get the most votes for their favorite NHL team and earn the title of Team MVP. In round 2, all Team MVPs will compete to get the most votes and be crowned the Ultimate MVP.

 

Schedule Of Events

  • February 6 – 23: MVP Entry Period
  • February 28 – March 11: Team MVP Voting (Round 1)
  • March 13, 2024: Announce Team MVPs
  • March 19 – April 1: Ultimate MVP Voting (Round 2)
  • April 3, 2024: Announce Ultimate MVP

Sean Panganiban – The 1st Ultimate MVP

With all the media exposure after winning the title, Sean was featured on CBC Radio as a hockey analyst for the Edmonton Oilers® and is an Oilers Sportswriter for The Hockey Writers.

Sean was able to use this contest as a platform and help share his story about overcoming a rare virus that affected his ability to walk, balance and control his eyes through his love for the Oilers.

Michael Hebert – The 2nd Ultimate MVP

After a close race, Michael came out on top and was crowned the winner in 2021. As another Edmonton Oilers fan, Sean joined Michael’s podcast to talk about their shared experience in the competition and what the win meant to them.

Michael has run four charity hockey games, been on the Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH) committee, and played in numerous charity tournaments including Cross Check Cancer in Calgary and Tech4Goods in Toronto.

Stacey Nutini – The 3rd Ultimate MVP

Stacey is a profound member of the Golden Knights and hockey community, and she runs an all-female fan group for all 32 teams! The largest group is called, “Ladies of the Knight”, which has over 13,000 members.

As a big-time card collector, Stacey has created an all-female group dedicated to card breaks to help bring more women into the hobby.
