Historically, as you might know (hopefully not from personal experience), zombies are often slow… and not so bright. But what if zombies could still think for themselves? And had superpowers?! Terrifying right? Well, it’s time to face this fear — or become fear itself! — in the new Marvel Zombies expansion for Vs. System® 2PCG®, based on the 2005-2006 limited comic book series.
In this expansion, you will pit some of your favorite heroes against each other with a unique motivation… THEIR INSATIABLE HUNGER TO CONSUME SUPER HEROES. With this, there are two new, exciting mechanics and two main characters to build your deck around with familiar faces (a whole lotta teeth) on a new Zombies team!

The virus is spreading, the hordes grow overwhelming, and time is running out. But there may still be hope in your new main characters: Magneto and Black Panther.
As the last mutant alive, Magneto stands his ground against the zombie invasion with powerful abilities, a steadfast will, and a vision of fighting together. Here is a closer look at the new Level 1 and Level 2 Magneto main character cards:
Your other main character in Vs. System® 2PCG®: Marvel Zombies, Black Panther, has teamed up with the animated severed head of Zombie Wasp (yeah, she’s still chatting) to fight back against the virus. After having been harvested for his limbs by Zombie Pym, he has recovered and been restored, ready to protect the universe from the hordes. The virus is spreading faster and growing more powerful by the minute as it continues to infect all the universe. Your heroes have stood their ground as long as they could, but it seems that the inevitable is upon them. It is time to give into The Hunger Virus and serve the Zombie Masters.
Vs. System® 2PCG®: Marvel Zombies introduces two new exciting and thematic mechanics to the game: The Hunger Virus and Zombie Masters.
The Hunger Virus ability has found its way onto supporting characters and spreads to others like wildfire, increasing the horde’s overwhelming power. Whenever a character with The Hunger Virus wounds another character in melee combat, that character is now infected. They gain The Hunger Virus ability and join the Zombie team – this even includes your deck’s leading main character! This character keeps this ability until they leave play or the game ends. Here are some cards with The Hunger Virus:
When the virus has continued to grow and spread across the game, it may be time to consider inviting the Zombie Masters to join. A Zombie Master is a new kind of Level 3 main character that goes in your deck instead of your Level Up Zone (like Magneto or Black Panther). While they do maintain the One-of-a-Kind trait, your deck can have any number of them. You recruit Zombie Masters the same way you recruit any supporting character but with the additional requirement of KOing a Level 2 main character on your side. They are hungry and need to eaaaat!
