UPPER DECK THROWBACK THURSDAY CREATE THE CAPTION PROMOTION: Nikita Kucherov

Wednesday night’s high-octane, offensive bout came to an abrupt ending just 3:33 into the extra period of play.

After exchanging five goals apiece, Tampa Bay Lightning Right Wing, Nikita Kucherov, lined up a long wrist shot past the New York Rangers backstop, Henrik Lundqvist, for the 6-5 win. Now, for the first time this series, Tampa Bay has control of the Eastern Conference Finals, 2-1.

The once impenetrable Rangers defense has begun to show signs of weakness. With four goals between Tampa’s high-scoring “Triplets” line of Tyler Johnson, Ondrej Palat and Kucherov, the trio have now scored 25 of the Lightning’s 47 postseason goals. And in the last two games, the trio have combined for seven goals and 14 points. They’ll look to carry that momentum into Friday’s pivotal Game 4 while the Rangers will head back to the drawing board.

In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, let’s put up a throwback card and see if our fans can come up with some great captions for this card! Please share your comical caption to this card for a lucky fan’s opportunity to score 5 packs of ICE Hockey Cards!
