Upper Deck Preparing a Variety of Activations for the 2016 Bridgestone NHL® Winter Classic™

One of the biggest hockey events of the New Year is set to take place at Foxboro Stadium when the Montreal Canadiens face off against the hometown Boston Bruins on Friday, January 1, 2016. As the exclusive provider of NHL® and NHLPA licensed collectibles, Upper Deck as more than a few activations planned around this exciting fan-friendly event! Fans will want to visit the Upper Deck Booth found at Spectator Plaza right outside Foxboro Stadium to take part in the fun on 12/31/15 from 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and on 1/1/16 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Box Hockey

Fans can go head-to-head competing in Upper Deck Box Hockey tournaments at the Upper Deck Booth. These exciting games challenge your puck skills as you battle another player to get the puck through their goal. The winner will receive special 5” x 7” Upper Deck Winter Classic blow-up cards (only 100 of each card produced).

Personalized Trading Cards

You’ll want to arrive early to get in line for a FREE Upper Deck personalized trading card as it is usually one of the biggest draws the Spectator Plaza. Upper Deck will have professional photographers on-site to capture fans decked out in NHL® gear to get their very own Winter Classic™ commemorative card.

Pack Wars

Ready? Set? Collect! Upper Deck will pass out free trading card packs throughout the day and run pack wars with fans in attendance. Collectors of all ages always get a kick out of these free events as they are challenged to use the cards they pulled from the free packs to win prizes.

Limited-Edition NHL® Winter Classic™ Trading Card Sets

The fun isn’t just for those in attendance this season. Upper Deck has produced limited-edition 5-card 2016 Bridgestone NHL® Winter Classic™ sets for both the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens which will be distributed to local shops in those areas. These packs will be distributed as a gift with an Upper Deck purchase at these locations while supplies last!
