Collectors were not sure what to expect when Upper Deck Authenticated announced the company would produce a blind-box product with five authentic signed memorabilia items inside each package for the 2017 National Sports Collectors Convention.
This is not a product everyone can indulge in at $1000 per box with only 100 total boxes available that are limited to one box per person, per day. Upper Deck set up the company’s booth at the National Sports Collectors Convention and had 15 of these large Monumental boxes allocated for Preview Night on Wednesday. In less than three hours, the company had sold through of their allocation for the day.
Those who were lucky enough to sample the Monumental experience were thrilled with what they found inside the boxes.
As this was the first time Upper Deck Authenticated has ever produced a product like this, it was important for the company to deliver items fans would love that also delivered solid value.
One fan was pretty excited when he found a Tiger Woods autographed pin flag that he was planning to buy anyway in his box. He scored it at a discount in his box along with four other signed memorabilia items.
