‘Twas The Night Before Vs. System 2PCG: Winter Soldier Defenders Preview!

‘Twas the night before Christmas

And here at UD

We thought, “Let’s give a gift out

For Vs. System 2PCG.”

But it’s in less than a day.

What could we possibly do?

“I know!” said the Designer,

“How ‘bout a Defenders preview?”

“Great idea!” said the Brand team.

“But which character to use?”

“If it’s not the right card,

They might think it’s a ruse.”

“It should be something related

To the season we’re in.

There’s snow on the ground.

Families celebrate with their kin.”

“Winter Soldier’s the card that

Suits this like no other.

The name fits, plus Bucky’s like

Captain America’s brother.”

“Main Character or Supporting?”

“There’s really no choice.

Give them the Main,

And the fans will rejoice.”

So here’s Winter Soldier,

Both levels in fact.

Even though he has Ranged,

His Bionic Arm is quite jacked.

Winter Soldier L1

If he’s in your Front Row,

And you attack with this chap,

He can become a 4/6,

That’s even larger than Cap!

You should get a stun,

On a regular basis,

So use that to trigger

Cryogenic Stasis.

To Level Up Bucky,

And get him to 2,

Voluntarily Freeze him,

Thematic, it’s true.

When he stuns a defender,

Put Winter Soldier on ice.

And to level him up,

Merely glue him down twice.

Build your deck well,

And you’ll quickly see

That often you level him

Up by turn three.

You’ll then be rewarded,

With a 7/5 bruiser

Who will help you make

Your opponent a loser.

Winter Soldier L2

His Sniper Rifle is deadlier.

Than ol’ Hawkeye’s bow.

He can attack those protected,

By your opponent’s Front Row.

If your enemy tries

To put up a big wall,

Winter Soldier just aims

And shoots past them all.

No character is safe

From his assassin’s gaze.

You’ll rack up the wins

On your tournament days.

That’s just a taste,

Of what Defenders has waiting.

Much more awesome and fun,

We have no qualms in stating.

We hope you enjoyed

This preview card’s text.

Please stay safe as you celebrate

Both this weekend and next.

Until 2016,

When we’ll have lots more to write,

Happy gaming to all,

And to all a good night.
