Taylor Heise
Minnesota selected Heise, a native of The North Star State, with the first pick in the inaugural PWHL Draft in 2023 after watching her enjoy tremendous success at the University of Minnesota, where she won the 2022 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award as the top collegiate player in women’s hockey. She continued to shine at the professional level, helping the Frost secure the Walter Cup in 2024 as the first champions of the PWHL. She and the Frost repeated as title-winners in 2025.
Sarah Fillier
Described by scouts as a “generational talent,” Fillier was selected first overall in the 2024 PWHL Draft by the New York Sirens. Living up to the hype, she won the 2024-25 PWHL Rookie of the Year Award after she delivered 13 goals and 16 assists in 30 games in her debut season to tie for the league lead in points with 29. After also earning honors as a PWHL First Team All-Star and All-Rookie Team member, she was rewarded by the Sirens with a two-year contract extension.
Alina Müller
The first European player to be selected in a PWHL Draft, Müller was taken third overall by Boston in 2023. Scoring five goals and dishing out 11 assists, she amassed a team-leading 16 points in 24 games in the inaugural 2024 PWHL season, helping Boston reach the Walter Cup Final. The forward came right back with another strong campaign in 2024-25, netting seven goals and delivering 12 assists to rack up 19 points (second on the Fleet) in 26 games.
Jocelyne Larocque
A highly decorated star on the international stage representing Canada, Larocque was selected second overall by Toronto in the inaugural 2023 PWHL Draft. The defender scored her first PWHL goal on Jan. 20, 2024, helping Toronto edge Montreal 4-3 in the first shootout in league history. Acquired by Ottawa via a trade on Dec. 30, 2024, Larocque helped the Charge reach the 2025 Wolter Cup Final, amassing four points (1-3-4) in eight postseason games.
Hannah Bilka
In the 2024 PWHL Draft, Boston selected Bilka fourth overall after watching her lead Ohio State to a national championship with 48 points (26-22-48) in 39 games and a plus-45 rating. She recorded 11 points (5-6-11) in 16 games with the Fleet in 2024-25, and then joined Seattle, which selected her third overall in the 2025 PWHL Expansion Draft. She started 2025-26 in sizzling fashion, amassing six points (2-4-6) in her first four games with the Torrent.
Nicole Gosling
Gosling was selected fourth overall by Montréal in the 2025 PWHL Draft after playing five seasons at Clarkson University, where she finished her collegiate career as the program’s all-time leading defender in points with 148 (44-104-148) in 176 games. She scored her first goal as a professional on Jan. 11, 2026, and the marker was a huge one, as it was the game-winner in the Victoire’s 1-0 decision over the visiting Vancouver Goldeneyes.
Michelle Karvinen
Vancouver selected Karvinen, a highly decorated and longtime staple of Finland’s national team as well as the owner of multiple championships in professional European leagues, with the seventh overall pick in the 2025 PWHL Draft. She collected her first point in her second PWHL game when she assisted on a power-play goal in the Goldeneyes’ road battle against the Ottawa Charge on Nov. 26, 2025. She scored her first PWHL goal against host Ottawa on Jan. 9, 2026.
Emma Maltais
The owner of several gold medals thanks to her work with Canada on the international stage, Maltais was selected in the second round (11th pick) in the inaugural 2023 PWHL Draft by Toronto after completing her stellar collegiate career at Ohio State, where she set all-time program records for points (206) and assists (140). The forward led Toronto in both assists (15) and shorthanded goals (two) in 2024, and tied for seventh on the team in goals in 2024-25 with five.
