Featured Retailers: Toronto Card Shops That Offer Something for Everyone

We all know how important it is to purchase from a Certified Diamond Dealer right? If not, just check out some of the videos made by other collectors on the subject by clicking here.

That being said, I recently had the opportunity to visit Toronto and while I was there I checked in on two very good card shops that I recommend you visit if you are in the area. They both offered a little something for everyone. I think it is nice to see shops that diversify their portfolio by offering more than just sports cards. It exposes others who come to the shop for something else to trading cards and that is always good for the hobby. They have success moving entertainment cards, comics, figurines, games and apparel as well so it has proved to be a successful business model for them.

Just outside of Toronto, you'll find a trading card paradise known as Cardboard Memories!

First up was David Moore at Cardboard Memories and he was ready for us with some delicious cupcakes his wife had made along with some Tim Horton’s coffee. We felt right at home in the cozy shop that seemed to have a little bit of everything. He has video games, comics, figurines, dvds, games and so much more. And of course, a well stocked supply of trading cards. David moves through quite a bit of Upper Deck product and has a very loyal customer base. You can take a look at all the different things David has to offer at the address below, but just know, his wife doesn’t make cupcakes every day…

Next up was a trek to the Sheridan Mall in North York to visit Eddie Doria at Red Nails II.

If you ever shop at the Sheridan Mall, you have to stop in and visit Red Nails II.

At first glance, you wouldn’t think Red Nails II was a card shop as there were t-shirts and a fair amount of apparel on display at the entrance. When you get in the shop however, you see they have plenty of stock on trading cards for both sports and entertainment. Again, they are a shop that has a great variety of products available for customers with apparel, figurines, games, trading cards and plenty of comics! I felt like I could spend hours in there going through their impressive displays of comic books. And wouldn’t you know it, he had donuts and coffee for us too. Both shop owners proved to be wonderful hosts. Drop in on Eddie and enjoy all that Red Nails II has to offer at the address below:

One thing I really respect about both David and Eddie is that they are very focused on meeting and exceeding their customer’s expectations. They would both go to great lengths to help their customers if there are issues and to make sure they are happy. They want people who visit their store to come back again so they know how important it is to embrace their customers and provide them with great service. That’s what being a Certified Diamond Dealer is all about. Just stop in their shops to see that first hand.
