Vs. System 2PCG Organized Play Focuses on Stores for the 2019/2020 Season

During 2018/19 Vs. System® 2PCG® organized play season, Upper Deck saw a bump in players participation in the game including a rise in the attendance at the 2019 Gen Con Championship this last August.  The number of events run throughout the year increased dramatically from years prior which allowed more eyes on the game. On the flip side, with the focus on convention events this prevented some players from attending due to the additional costs. Along with the player count requirement for cash prizes, this caused some players to not even attempt to participate.

The 2019/20 season will see a decrease in the number of events, but with the focus more on local stores, it will allow players easier access to events and a bigger prize pool per event. This season there will be six Regional events across the US.
