Picture Perfect: Upper Deck Asks Fans to Select Photo for Connor McDavid’s First-Ever Young Guns Rookie Card!

Fans will get to pick their favorite shot from McDavid’s first NHL® game against the St. Louis Blues!

CARLSBAD, Ca. (October 09, 2015) – Upper Deck, the exclusive provider of NHL® and NHLPA licensed hockey cards, today announced a promotion that will allow fans to have a hand in choosing one of the most highly anticipated cards in the company’s flagship hockey brand. For the first time in history, fans can vote on the image that will be used on an Upper Deck Young Guns rookie card for one of the most highly touted prospects of all time, Connor McDavid.

The first pick in the 2015 NHL Draft™ made his long awaited league debut last night with the Edmonton Oilers as media and fans from around the world watched in anticipation. Photographers had to work extra hard to keep up with the 18-year-old who impressed the crowd with his incredible agility and speed. Upper Deck was able to capture some of those great action shots, one of which will be selected for Connor’s first-ever NHL® rookie card.

Upper Deck is inviting fans to give their input on which one of those photos should be used for his Young Guns rookie card through a special online promotion. Fans can view images from that game at upperdeckstore.com/collectconnor and cast a vote for their favorite image through Sunday, October 11, 2015. Upper Deck will reveal the winning image and post a sneak preview of the new Connor McDavid Young Guns rookie card on Thursday, October 22.
