CARLSBAD, Ca. (July 31, 2020) - Hockey fans have been speculating for months about the name of the new Seattle NHL® expansion team. On Friday, July 24, the league officially introduced the Seattle Kraken™ as the 32nd franchise. Named after a legendary sea monster, the new team is expected to hit the ice for the 2021-22 season.
